Selingan........ My First Cloth Diaper!

You must be wondering whether you are in the wrong blog.. why suddenly a cloth diaper in a recipe blog? Hahahahaha... sorry about that.

I have been wanting to sew my own fitted cloth diaper for my daughter ... so finally I did it! The pictures above show my first cloth diaper, measured, cut and sewn all by myself.

What do you think of it? Not so nice.. but I think I will get better after a few cloth diapers... I think (hehehehehe...). The top picture is my almost 1 year old daughter wearing the cloth diaper mommy has sewn.

The materials.. I just bought a meter of cotton fabric with Winnie the Pooh print ( so difficult to find good fabric with cartoon pictures in Kota Kinabalu, anybody know where to find them? Please let me know.... I tried Segama and Sinsuran... the only fabric I found is the RM2.50 per meter thin cotton fabric. Maybe I should wait for the KAMDAR and Globe Silk Store in 1Borneo to open ;-) ). The inner layer, I use soft fleece cloth and sewn 6 layers of an old napkin cloth diaper as the soaker.

My big dream..... is to make my own cloth diaper and put my own brand on it and make money out of it ;-).

Selingan - Dumplings Anyone?

I haven't got time to update any recipe yet.. so in the meantime... enjoy my fake dumplings hehehehe....

Nope.. not real dumplings.. they are just a handicraft that I sew for my daughter. I got the materials and measurements from a DIY kit. All I did were measured them, cut them, and sew them.

See.. I told you, I can do handicraft or make gifts hehehehehe... but these cannot be eaten ok. :)

Selingan- Matryoshka Dolls

Just as a 'selingan'- nothing to do with recipes hehehehe

Here is a Matryoshka Dolls a.k.a Russian Stacking/Nested Doll a.k.a Babushka doll..

I have looking for these dolls around Kota Kinabalu (didn't really go around KK and look hehehe.... ) because my eldest has been fascinated with them since she watches the Higgly Town Heroes.

Here they are... At last, found it!. I bought them at 1Borneo a few weeks ago. I think they look cute and my eldest adores them :).

This is just a free advertisement hehehehe. I don't really have to give you the recipe for this dish, because I am sure everybody know how to prepare it... I just want to make you drooling while looking at the picture. Go to the market now, buy some salted fish and cook some for yourself hahahahaha

Selingan... I was tagged!

Haiya.. eventhough this is supposed to be a recipe-blog, suddenly lab papa tagged me.. so how? I have to post this tag as a "Selingan".. so please bear with me... hehehehe

Rules:- I don't have many blogger friends (yet!), so I dont think I will have 8 tag to send out... so I follow lab papa's Tag's rule.... not the original rules as posted in Kadus_mama ' s blog. And since not many people know who am I, so I can give simple random facts about me hahahahaa.

8 Random facts about me..

1. I am a proud mama of 2 girls aged 6 years old and 10 months old.

2. I am an ex-SPBLian, what is SBPL.... guess lah if ada yang tidak tau.

3. I am an ex-PPP/ITM, Shah Alam student.... again, you have to guess la if you dont know what is PPP/ITM hehehehe

4. I am an ex-LJMU, kena guess lagi kan..., a lot of ex'es la...

5. I am not a good cook or baker... that's why I have this blog full of simple recipes, if I try the complicated ones, sure tidak jadi ( if you noticed in one of the posts, ada comment by Janet, so surprised that I baked... obvious sangatlah kan, since she knows me for long time sudah hehehe..).

6. I don't drink coffee... I mabuk and become so sleepy if minum kopi pekat... I can only drink nescafe cawir...

7. I lost about 7kg of weight since I gave birth to my youngest daughter. I was 49kg pre-pregnancy, now I am 41-42kg.

8. I had Supernatural Childbirths for both of my children, meaning no morning sickness, no excessive gain of weight, no pain at all during giving birth ( without any stitches for my 2nd).

Adoi.. punya sengsara sia cari these facts..... now I want to tag whimsical....

I was preparing and then baking a cheese cake yesterday, Achel was next to me, watching me doing this and that. Then she said..
"mama, I always like to watch you baking.."
I smiled and said "... I like it when you eat what I baked.."
Achel said "... why, that's very nice of you mama..., I like to eat your baking too."

Hahahahaha..

Selingan.....Yummy Yummy, Food for My Tummy

I remember eating the choc.chip.cookie one day with Achel, and she said 'mmmm... yummy yummy, food for my tummy' and she was about 4 at that time. And I tot.. oh my goodness, this kid speaks rhymes.. When I was about her age, I can't even say any bit of english... Well, she is that Genius or just too much Mother Goose.
